Here we learn of emigration from Ireland to the United States of America and also the ill fated RMS Titanic. Visit Ireland’s most loved castle and kiss the Blarney Stone – which is rumored to bestow upon you the ‘gift of the gab’ (eloquent speech)!
While in the Cork region, take the time to visit the colorful village of Cobh – final departure point of many emigrant ships, including the ill-fated RMS Titanic. Travelling onto Cork city, you can enjoy highlights including the English Market and St. Finbarre’s Cathedral amongst others.
Finally we visit Blarney Casttle where it is alleged that upon kissing the famous Blarney Stone one acquires the “gift of eloquence” or as we say the “Gift of the gab”. Tour the castle and Gardens then shop until you drop in the tax free Blarney Wollen Mills.
